Where to begin… Let’s start here, Melanie and the team at Cranberry blue provided us with our dream day. From our very first conversation Melanie managed to capture our personalities, likes and dislikes and project this into designing and planning our dream wedding. She was able to make decisions whilst guiding us what seemed like effortlessly (I know realistically she out 110% of hard work and time in) on the right creative designs suited to our tastes. Before I’d even said or made a suggestion she was one step ahead and knew instinctively that I would/would not be happy with something and that took so much pressure and stress out of creating the dream day. Cranberry blue do not just plan a wedding they create the atmosphere and that’s something that takes meticulous planning and some serious imagination. She made us feel so comfortable and excited. Every meeting we had was planned and went as expected, we left all of them feeling more and more thrilled than the last one. We came to say “everyone needs a Melanie” as a bit of an ‘in joke’ but no Truer word will be spoken. I would highly recommend Cranberry blue if you are planning an event. Thank you all x
I have worked with Melanie on many weddings and her entire team are all incredible. Melanie is such a great leader, the entire wedding is planned to perfection and it's a joy for me and my team to work with her. I have worked in the Industry for 10 year and have worked with many planners, there are a few things that really stand out with Cranberry Blue, they are always calm, they are always polite and they always have a relationship of absolute love with their bride and Grooms. Melanie helped us organise a fantastic wedding earlier this summer. With my husband and myself both working more-than-full-time jobs, we cannot thank Melanie enough for how much of the pressure/stress/time-consuming nitty-gritty bits were taken off our hands! We just had to give Mel our ideas and she turned these into a magnificent, personalised wedding we will never forget. Melanie had amazing relationships with the best suppliers out there, so everything was organised and showcased of perfection. Similar to other posts below, many of our guests complimented us on this being the best wedding they had ever been to - and it was certainly the best day of our lives - thanks Melanie and team :)
I was in a lockdown, in a foreign country unable to return home when I began planning my wedding. Admittedly this was a fabulous excuse to plan my wedding without the direct input of other, which — although well intended — can feel overwhelming to a person who has designed her own birthday parties (even the occasional “surprise”) since as far as she could remember. The drawback to lockdown was all vendors, visions, site tours and physical aspects of planning were to remain in the ether. This obstacle and my past of planning events myself, made it even more important to me to find a planner that I felt could share a vision in its abstraction — someone who would work with me and understand I needed a partner. I found Melanie on Instagram. Her pictures were beautiful, and she seemed energetic and creative. But location weddings (especially one with the detail required for my vision), are not the type of events where it’s always advisable to work with a stranger, especially one you’ve met online and won’t be able to meet in person — at all — for the foreseeable future. It was suggested I go off references. I called them all. But as I had suspected, I felt immediately suffocated by someone else’s opinions and when I said I wished for a surrealist dreamscape — which I felt should be an eerie nod to Alice in Wonderland, but with headless waiters instead of white rabbits — let’s just say I didn’t feel many were enthusiastic. Each of those calls were 5-10 minutes. I finally decided to go with my gut and call Melanie, and we excitedly spoke for over an hour. We had the most wonderful two year process. It was fun, creative and constantly stimulating. Melanie executes at a seriously professional level and she works harder than anyone I have come across in this industry. She puts her heart into your day — which is just a reflection of your own heart. She becomes family. Adam and I couldn’t be more thrilled with our wedding this June. It was fun, and original and I feel so grateful to have had Melanie as more than a partner but the realiser of my dream event. Anyone who has the chance to work with Cranberry Blue will never forget it!
